Therapeutic Day Treatment is a program that operates within schools and aims to address mental health, emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse challenges that may hinder effective learning. Our TDT counselors are trained to implement strategic interventions that are specifically designed to address disruptive behaviors without disrupting the classroom setting.

Effective interventions not only improve the classroom environment but also enable educators to teach effectively. When our counselors intervene immediately, they help children redirect problem behaviors, allowing them to return to learning while safeguarding the learning environment for their classmates.

This program provides:

– Assessment of treatment needs
– Diagnostic evaluations
– Group therapy

Summer Program:

Tree of Life offers a Therapeutic Day Treatment Summer Program for students to maintain, sustain and increase their prosocial skills learned during the school year. The program focuses on addressing the mental health needs of these students through recreational activities, art, music, and drama. Community outings are also provided to enhance individual treatment as required. The purpose of such outings is multifaceted and includes training in appropriate communication skills, social skills, behavior regulation, and more.
